Episode Summary: Young owner bought the restaurant keeping the menu and staff with her boyfriend as bar manager, Gordon isn't impressed with the microwaved Egg Plant Roll, the Frozen Tuna or the salad cooked by the Martinez Brothers, Very old computer to place orders, the servers have to check if tickets are received and hate the computer! A lot of food is sent back and Gordon finds old food. Gordon realises the kitchen is dirty but Lisa doesn't seem to think that is a problem so Gordon calls the customers into the kitchen to show them the dirt, Lisa then goes and cries in the toilets for hours and refuses to come out, Gordon takes a bat to the old computer and all the servers have a whack at it, Gordon puts Lisa in the kitchen to cook a special, a new menu is put in place, the kitchen staff can't run the kitchen, they stand there not cooking and then decide to leave but come back, Gordons Chef Scott comes down to the restaurant and he's going to stay for a month,
What Happened Next: They focus on the wine bar and Chef Scott worked on training the chefs. Gordon revisits a year later, Lisa has fired her boyfriend and there are new dishes inspired by Gordon including the Mushroom Flatbread (which looks pretty yummy to me) and business is up. She has also expanded into Lido brand wine. They cook a duck dish together and Gordon tells her to keep up the good work.

ReplyDeleteI'm impressed how the boyfriend stepped up and started cleaning while she sobbed in the bathroom for an hour. Precious lamb can't get her hands dirty?Get it cleaned instead of arguing with him and crying about it.
